The 40-Below Hat was designed by Barbara Clarke of Arnprior, Ontario.
The 40 Below Hats pattern is an original design. It was inspired by the hats worn in Lapland and redeveloped for the Canadian outdoors. The hats do not blow off during outdoor activities such as skating on the canal, or skiing. The hats are very warm.
The velvet hat head band is machine embroidered, on my Bernina sewing machine, and gathered on to a pouffy velvet top then lined with flannel.
